Jim Henson vaulted Kermit, the famous floppy-armed frog, and his Muppet pals to the big screen with this charming 1979 musical adventure. Like the TV show that inspired it, Henson and director James Frawley playfully acknowledge movie clichs and conventions and allow the characters to address the camera in asides, like a Hope and Crosby road film for the 1980s. The ambitious singing frog decides to leave his swamp and conquer Hollywood, gathering a group of friends along the way (Fozzie Bear, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, and more) and bumping into oodles of guest stars making tongue-in-cheek cameos (my favorite is the tip-of-the-hat appearance by Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy). Meanwhile, despicable fast-food king Charles Durning pursues Kermit, hoping to make him the spokesfrog for his Frogs-Legs restaurant franchise. Austin Pendleton costars as Durning's sad sack henchman while guest stars include James Coburn, Dom DeLuise, Madeleine Kahn, Steve Martin, Milton Berle, Bob Hope, Carol Kane, Cloris Leachman, Mel Brooks, Richard Pryor, Telly Savalas, Elliot Gould, Orson Welles, and Big Bird. Wow! I really loved the movie The Muppet Movie. The movie is absolutely stunning with top-notch graphics and visuals while Edgar Bergen deliver some award-winning performances in this movie.

I also think Milton Berle was great! The visuals and graphics make for some very realistic on screen special-effects but that is the beauty of the movie.When the movie wants to be funny it is funny, the same is true for when the movie needs to deliver its scary aspects.

I think Edgar Bergen and Milton Berle worked wonderful in The Muppet Movie. The great supporting cast includes Edgar Bergen, Milton Berle, Mel Brooks, James Coburn, Dom DeLuise.

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Volume 03 A unique,,one of a kind movie! Both Akio tsuka and Kichi Yamadera has earned overwhelmingly positive reviews and is considered by many to be one of the best films of the year! Maybe that's what makes the movie so good.The great cast includes Akio tsuka, Kichi Yamadera, Yutaka Nakano, Tru kawa, Takashi Onozuka. The movie moves on like a dream and end leaving you wanting for more.

If you love watching Akio tsuka or Kichi Yamadera, you are deffinetly going to want to watch Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Volume 03.

As the broadcast series based on Mamoru Oshii's landmark feature Ghost in the Shell continues, questions concerning the case of the mysterious Laughing Man surface once again. In "Portraitz," a possible lead takes Togusa into an institution for children suffering from "Cyberbrain Closed Shell Syndrome," a sort of computerized autism. Nothing is resolved, and the audience, like the case, is left hanging. The Laughing Man is also the subject of "Chat! Chat! Chat!"--a cheat of an episode that consists of little more than footage of chat-room denizens wrangling over the character's true identity. "Jungle Cruise" provides some rare clues to Batou's past. But after the grisly images of a war criminal from the "American Empire" who skins his victims alive, the high-pitched voices and cute characters in "Escape From" feel incongruous at best. Overall, the series seems to be losing its momentum.

The extras include interviews with sound director Kazuhiro Wakabayashi and Akio Otsuka, the Japanese voice of Batou. Otsuka's velvety bass-baritone makes Batou a more compelling vocal presence than Richard Epcar's rougher tones in the English dub. There's also a two-disc deluxe edition that comes with a T-shirt and DTS 5.1 soundtracks in English and Japanese.
